Cuisinart CMW-200 1-1/5-Cubic-Foot Convection Microwave Oven with Grill Reviews

Five reviews of the Cuisinart CMW-200 1-1/5-Cubic-Foot Convection Microwave Oven with Grill

1、This is a great Microwave I used this to cook during Thanksgiving day and Christmas and proved to be a great microwave it truly did get the job done I use it alot for normal microwave uses but again for the oven it is great. It is made out of stainless steel which I found pretty nice especially on my metal counter top and the size was reasonable for a microwave not to big nor too small would buy again if it would to break down

2、I am very disapointed in the product, manly because it is not what I ordered…They claim it is a 1.5 cu ft with grill…There isn’t enough power to run the grill for making garlic toast and the convection oven is slow…it is not the power that it should be for a 1.5 cu ft that they say it is…in fact it is not a 1.5 cu ft.
Upon trying to retuning it was told my charges would be around $50.
Not worth sending it back for that price so will struggle with an unwanted product…False advertizing gets me, I will never deal with that Co. again and have told all my friends not to deal with them either. One thing it is very nice looking on my counter if nothing else!

3、Great idea I went out and got frozen french fries.

Tried no preheat convection and after 15 minutes they weren’t done and cooked another 5 minutes.

Another batch I went with preheat and the temp at 425 as suggested and put the fries in the oven at the start of the preheat cycle. By the time it hit 425 the fries were done. I never did set the time. You are not allowed to set the time before the temp preheat is reached. At that rate if they are not quite done then you add more time through what they call kitchen time.

there’s heat exhausting out the back that I wish would stay in the oven heating it up faster. However I don’t know how convection ovens heat themselves.

Tried the idea of turning on the grill for 2 minutes then going to convection. It did not seem to speed things up any.

I am not unhappy. I’ve gotten three appliances off my counter and put the Cuisinart on top of the stove. Heat is an issue in the southwest so I have never used my gas pilot stove.

The microwave works exactly as I expected.

The grill has three settings. 100% grilling, 30% micro plus 70% grill, and 55% micro plus 45% grill. I haven’t enjoyed steak at home for years so this I am really looking forward to. Fishsticks I’m going to try 30/70.

Roasting and baking have a fast setting which combines micro and convection, you can go straight convection too.

I would buy it again because the price is right, it microwaves great and grills. I never was an oven baker so few times I may preheat convection will be very seldom.

Right now I’m going to look for a rack utensil that I can use in both oven and microwave.

I’m sure after a learning curve that I will be preheat convection cooking and adding minutes after the oven acquires the set temp to finish my cooking.

4、I really looked forward to using this microwave. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until I reached page 6 of the instruction booklet that I found I could not use it due to space requirements. The oven needs at least 3 inches free space at sides and back, as well as 12 inches free space above it. These requirements should be listed along with the size of the oven in the technical info to avoid a customer having to send the item back. My hanging wall cupboards were too for me to use the oven, so it had to go back.

Sanyo EM-C6786V 1-Cubic-Foot Microwave Oven with Convection and Grill reviews

Five reviews of the Sanyo EM-C6786V 1-Cubic-Foot Microwave Oven with Convection and Grill reviews

1、I bought this product because we did not have the space for both a microwave and a toaster oven/convection oven. We have two young kids and making things quick is what we needed. While the grill feature does not do the best job of really “grilling” like a grill would, it does heat up hot dogs better than the microwave feature does AND I can “grill” bread and get it toasted. The convection part has worked out fine, though probably not as good as a full sized oven. BUT, it is perfect for small items.

The controls are different because it uses a dial to control some features like time and such. I will not say that is better or worse than button controls, just different.

I am glad we purchased this product because it has made making meals easier especially defrosting meats, bagels, etc.

2、I got this microwave as soon as it was available; the interior is all stainless, very nice. Best of all, the controls are much improved over a typical microwave that has a digital numeric touch pad; instead, this one has a round scroll wheel on the inside that is a breeze to use. Using one finger, you can quickly set the time desired by using the easy scroll wheel, sort of like an iPod; and the one-touch buttons on the outside let you quickly set it for one or two minutes. Perfect! I use the microwave under the counter, so I didn’t want to have to squat down to punch a bunch of buttons. This is a vastly improved design; the controls are much more simple to use than a regular microwave. I haven’t used the convection or grill functions yet, but that should come in handy to have as a back up when the big oven is busy and I need an extra oven. The buttons on the outside are also very easy to use. Much cleaner design, more attractive and simplified look that goes great in my kitchen. Seems to be a very high quality for the low price, works great; looks great too~

3、This replaces a toaster oven, a grill and your microwave. I will not say that this is the best device that has ever been made but for the price it is a good value for what you get and it only takes the counter space of a microwave. The mirowave is not the most powerful but we have learned to adjust about 20-30 seconds more for most instructions on food and the convection and grill do what they should if you follow the directions even though we don’t use them often. This has lasted over a year and a half and it fit in the small cubby to the side of the kitchen so it fit our needs and it looks good to boot, I would think that this would be a must have if you live in a tiny apartment and it would probablly work well in a dorm room for those small meals you want to throw together.

4、I’m in an apartment. I cook for myself, or two people. I’m very happy with this machine, although I’ve owned it for about two weeks. I have not tried to toast bread. But, I can imagine it could do that.
It can put out some heat around itself. Under, over, behind, and to the sides. As with any appliance, Be Careful.
It heats my tea in the AM. It heats seafood Really well, (steamed clams, salmon rolled with crab with the broiler on, comes out nice and browned).
It goes over 400 degrees F.
The microwave is strong.
(Some other folks who are downrating it, on strength of Micro, I’m sure are used to much larger, more powerful units.

This is a good, middle of the road type machine, and it’s price is reasonable. The controls ‘Make Sense’, and that keeps it easy to use.
(If you’re a manual maniac, you’ll still be OK). It’s layed out nicely.

The interior is Stainless, so cleaning is just a damp cloth.

I really like it!

5、Simply put, the price makes this product choice one, regardless of the minor flaws. If, that is, one must have a combination microwave/convection oven, and works for a living. I had hoped to chuck my old convection oven and circa 1990 microwave. Mission accomplished on the old convection oven, but the old microwave is still around. Why? Well, the Sanyo Microwave was simply not as powerful, and more importantly one must remove the rack from the Sanyo to microwave. It was easier just to throw stuff in the old microwave then rotate out the rack. Which brings me to my convection issue, the oven is not as powerful as my old one and the space is significantly smaller, no more pizzas, unless they are mini ones.
So the good is the ability of less picky individuals to rotate out the rack, and accept the weaker power of the microwave/oven. In doing so they acquire a combo unit and can ditch the old products. The bad is the smaller size, annoyingly small oven rack, and popcorn that even at full power takes 3.30 minutes. Less important is that the minute setting function and other options can only be accessed with the door open. This is annoying as well. Just put all the damn commands on the outside so I don’t have to open the door,Sanyo. Finally, the unit is not bad looking and matches my silver themed kitchen.
So for us working class folks this is the unit of choice. If you are affluent, and shop Amazon then drop five bills you cheap thug and buy the name brand, larger, more powerful, and classier unit.
